Of Lions, Elephants and our little Swara (Impala)
Life at our tented camp is never dull, filled with unforgettable moments, thrilling wildlife encounters, and heartwarming celebrations. From birthdays and barbecues to close encounters with nature, every day brings a new adventure. Our resident impala’s fate at the hands of a lion reminded us of the raw realities of the wild, while the passing of an old elephant brought a feast for carnivores, keeping us on edge for days. The mischievous “little drunkies” (elephants) and beer-loving baboons added a touch of humor, raiding our bar and leaving behind a trail of laughter. The Great Migration, though unpredictable, continues to awe our guests, reminding us that nature operates on its own schedule. As October approaches, we’re excited to welcome more guests to share in these unique experiences. Whether it’s whiskey by the fire or beer under the stars, we can’t wait to create more memories with you at Drunken Elephant Mara!
